I’m excited to introduce another leader of our organization, Mr. Rodney Collman. Rod began his career in architecture in 1968 with Fasnacht and Schultz Architects in Dunedin, which evolved into Collman and Karsky Architects. He received his LEED AP accreditation in October 2006 and earned his LEED BD+C certification from the USGBC in 2010.
After selling his interest in Collman and Karsky Architects in late 2014, Rod and Gary Badders (Founder) of Shorelines Design Group opened SDG Architecture, to continue his work in Public and Commercial Architecture. Rod offers over 50 years of commercial architectural design experience. Rod is the President of SDG Architecture, Inc. He currently works with his team leading most of our commercial projects ranging from hotels, townhomes, churches, retail spaces, car dealerships and so much more.
Our President – Rod Collman
Most days you can find Rod directing his team on design kickoffs, reviewing and certifying completed construction documents, and meeting with clients on site to discuss their project requirements. Rod has a great way of understanding the needs of his customers and ensuring quality designs are delivered. He is a natural leader who is well respected and appreciated among his colleagues. His knowledge of architectural design is extensive, and he continues to keep up with the changes in architectural codes, techniques, products and municipality requests. The thing that is most special about Rod is how he embraces change so effortlessly. We are very grateful to have him as our Captain. Thank you, Rod. Your SDG Team!
