Since the hurricanes last year, SDG Architecture has been steadfast in supporting our community and addressing the growing need for elevated, resilient structures along our coasts. It has been a demanding season with pressing timelines and challenging budgets but through it all, creativity, teamwork, and purpose have been our guiding principles.
Many of our clients never imagined they would one day be designing a new home, often drawing from retirement savings or shifting financial plans to rebuild what was lost. We understand the emotional toll this process brings, and we’ve approached every project with empathy, patience, and respect. Communities like Island Estates in Clearwater and the coastal neighborhoods of Dunedin were among the hardest hit and helping families there move forward has been both our focus and our privilege.
We’re also deeply grateful for the partnership of our local municipalities, the City of Dunedin and the City of Clearwater whose commitment to expediting permits has allowed rebuilding efforts to progress more efficiently. Over the past year, we’ve also formed new relationships with builders we might never have met otherwise, and we feel truly honored to collaborate with such dedicated professionals.
